May 23rd 2020: Full Day Mala Workshop

In this full day course (10:30 to 4:30) you will learn the art and heart of making your very own Mala necklace. Join Jazzy as he guides you through this thoughtful process of hand knotting beads and making the beaded tassel. Please bring a water bottle and a snack or lunch as there will be a 30 minute break during the class.  You may bring your own battery-powered light and/or magnification aids if you need them. After registration, you will receive a supply list one week prior to class.  Please come to the store with this list any time during that week to purchase your supplies and receive a 10% off retail discount. *Excludes sterling silver and gold filled. Other exclusions may apply.*

Please arrive 15 minutes early for your class to get settled, as instruction will not be delayed for latecomers.

All supplies for class must be purchased from Capilano Rock and Gem. Outside materials will not be permitted.

About your instructor:

Jazvinder Singh "Jazzy" was born into the lineage of Kundalini Yoga, with Yogi Bhajan (the Master of Kundalini Yoga) as his Grand-Uncle. Jazvinder has practiced Kundalini Yoga all his life, and has been teaching it for over 25 years.  Kundalini Yoga, the yoga of awareness, connects people to their highest capacity as spiritual beings having a human experience.

Jasvinder works full time in the social services sector, primarily ensuring that people living with mental health and/or addiction have their basic needs met (food, shelter, clothing).  Jazzy has dedicated his life to serving humanity through his various gifts and talents.

Who better to learn from than a Yogi, when it comes to creating your unique Mala (prayer beads)? Come and learn not only the techniques but also the historical significance of the components that comprise the Mala.
