The Rutile inclusions range from thin, sparse, and parallel, to thick, dense, and crisscrossed, and everything in-between. Each Rutilated Quartz gemstone is unique in its pattern of Rutile inclusions.

Rutilated Quartz is mined in Australia, Brazil, Kazakhstan, Madagascar, Norway, Pakistan and the United States.

It is not an official birthstone, but Rutilated Quartz is associated with the zodiac signs of Taurus and Leo.

Rutilated quartz is used for meditation, spiritual communications, and dream work. It is particularly good for seeking higher spiritual experiences and meditation on feminine ideas.
