Bead There ~ Done That

onMy favourite type of seed bead is the Delica™ bead. These cylinder shaped beads have the same length and width making them perfect for bead weaving on a loom. I, personally, prefer using them in a free-hand weave such as peyote stitch. Because of their shape, they fit very snugly next to one another and form a flowy, seamless piece. A large number of loom patterns as well as free-hand stitch patterns are available on the internet. The best part is, the Delicas come in almost every imaginable shade and we carry over 150 different colours!
The Delica beads are ideal for bracelets, cuffs, chokers, pendants or earrings, as the final piece is flat. Three-dimensional patterns for Delica beads are also available on the internet and if you are feeling especially creative, you can even make intricate necklaces by connecting multiple 3D pieces together.
